Singapore Grand Prix 2023: Dinetap's first race weekend behind the counters
The first race weekend on the Singapore street circuit, and how the food & beverage vendors ran it on Dinetap.
It started in 2023. As Singapore turned itself into a global racing hub for the Grand Prix, Dinetap powered a quieter kind of performance behind the food counters. With Dinetap's POS and card terminals, food & beverage vendors kept pace with race weekend from the first order to the last sale.
Back every year since
Dinetap returned for the 2024 and 2025 races and was at the 2026 Grand Prix this year, with food & beverage vendors running their counters on the same POS and payment terminals.
In a venue running at that volume, nobody can afford downtime. Dinetap's ecosystem is built for exactly this: wireless terminals, sales landing in the Back Office as they happen, fast setup and tap to pay. Whether a vendor was holding a peak hour queue together or changing a menu item mid service, the technology was ready before the first car hit the track.
A robust POS and payment setup is no longer a luxury. It is mission critical, and Dinetap delivered exactly that during race week.
Built for a weekend like this one
Mobile terminals, menu control and a cloud account behind both let vendors run like high performance kitchens. Live reporting, several devices in sync and hardware that works out of the box meant a stall could be set up ahead of race weekend.
One system, two very different counters
What really showed through the weekend was adaptability. Every setup had its own way of working, from grab and go stalls to full service cocktail bars, and one system served both. Menu changes made once in the Back Office and staff signing in as themselves kept service moving when the queues stretched and the orders surged.
Setting up quickly and running reliably across several zones is what the platform is for. For a number of vendors it was the first time they had seen how straightforward a service can be with the right tools behind it.

The team behind the counters
Congratulations to Jude Kumar and to the teams in Singapore and Sri Lanka, whose coordination on the ground and support from a distance meant no vendor was left on their own at peak.
From a stage like that one, Dinetap showed that dependable food & beverage technology is not only for restaurants. It is for anyone who has to serve under pressure.
