Singapore Grand Prix 2024: Ready to serve before the gates opened

A second race weekend, and the same counters taking orders from the first gates to the last session.

A year after the first race weekend, Dinetap was back at the Singapore Grand Prix in 2024. Food & beverage vendors ran their counters on the same POS and payment terminals, this time with a full race weekend of experience behind the setup.

Ready before the gates opened

Each counter came down to a few devices: the POS screen with the menu on it, a card terminal for tap and chip payments, and a receipt printer. With the menu built in the Back Office ahead of time, a stall was ready to serve as soon as the devices were switched on.

Built for the rush

Race weekend crowds arrive in waves, between sessions and before the evening race. Card-only ordering kept each sale to a tap, and every payment landed in the Back Office as it happened, so vendors could see how the day was going without stopping service.

A second year on the circuit

The second race weekend was a chance to run the same system again at the same pace, and to show that a setup built for a single weekend could be counted on year after year.
